St Aula's Church, Stornoway

Construction materials: Stone - Used for walls;

This church measures around 6 metres long by just under 5 metres wide, and was described as 'slightly dilapidated' in the mid 19th century. It is not certain what its condition is now. There is one window in the west end, and it is narrow and flat-headed. In the south wall is a flat-headed door and window. Over the door is a date stone of 1685, which is likely to be a date of repairs, rather than the actual date it was built. Researched and written by J. Dowling, 27/2/04.
